PMO Set Up and Development

PMO / PM Improvement program
Improving project management effectiveness results in significant returns to the business. It eliminates or reduces time and budget overruns, reduces time to benefit realization and often results in higher (internal and / or external) customer satisfaction.
We improve organizational project delivery using a number of different approaches.

Portfolio Analysis and Resource Alignment
  • Review entire project portfolios to determine most effective mapping of PMs to the portfolio
  • Determine the project management profile likely to be most successful to lead each project or group of projects

Process Streamlining
  • Assessing existing PM processes and making recommendations to improve their effectiveness. In our experience, effectiveness is most often improved by removing low value-add process elements and focusing on those elements of process that make a difference
  • Assisting project management offices (PMOs) to implement process on a project-by-project basis. This helps a PMO recognize that smaller, simpler projects require less process than larger, more complex projects to deliver effectively

PMO Establishment or Enhancement
Design or reorganization of PM capabilities and resources into a formal project management office (PMO) or equivalent function, to increase project management effectiveness.
